I was just wondering if anyone has expierenced this. At speeds of 75-80 (hwy) there is a vibration/resonance that you can hear and feel. If you speed up just slightly or slow down just slightly it will go away. It has a brand new front drive shaft. It also has the nitto terra grapler tires on it. I have only had the vehicle a few months and last weekend was the first time at those speeds on the hwy.
thanks ![]() |

Mine does the same thing. They say it is normal.. They being the dealer. You may want to check the fluid level in your transfer case. It might also help to swap the fluid for a good synthetic. It's gear whine that you hear.

I disagree with the above post. If you have a vibration you can feel and hear, the problem most likely is the rear driveshaft rubber flex coupling. The flex coupling substitutes for a U-joint in the rear and tends to wear out. According to DAP, if the coupling has any cracks in it at all it is junk, and can cause even severe vibration as the condition worsens. Mine has this problem. Below a certain speed (like 60 mph-65 mph), there is no vibration. Above that speed, no vibration until you get off the gas. Then, the faster the speed when you let off, the more noticeable the vibration. However, if you get on the gas, the problem goes away. The part is like $60-80; install it yourself.
