So just got a spare key from flleeeeebay, whilst having it cut isn't a big issue.it came with a new transponder so this will be my spare key.
Need some advice on the programing side of it, I read in one of the forums that the after market programing tools can be used to reprogram the key, therefore,
Any one in North of london could do this for me ? I buy them a drink perhaps
Any other Advice seriously trying to avoid main dealer visit and my master key works just fine too

You'll have to find somebody with proffesional key programming tool which covers the D2 or somebody who has nanocom tester, i doubt that a LR main dealer will programm a used fob for you unless you have the original barcode for the fob(quite unlikely)

You do need a program and interface for the vehicle to program keys.

My local independent shop did a key for my 2003 - with Testbook.

To accomplish the key programming, open up the key fob.
Inside you will see an identity code. Write down that code and tag it on each key you want programmed.
The service location will then use that identity code to enter into the interface when connected to your Discovery.
That was how mine was done with Testbook.

Best of luck.
