My 2000 Land Rover Discovery 2 is having some problems. Late last night I had to run an errand. Get in the car, turn the key, the lights on the dashboard come on, the engine almost starts and then it dies. Dosnt start at all. I take my key out and try again, nothing. I had to unplug the battery and plug it up back up twice to finally get it to start. I think my battery is just dying. So im going to charge my battery and try again. Anybody else think that their might be something else wrong with it?
Never unplug the battery as a fix to anything it will only cause you other unforseen issues.
Get it started and go to the local parts store for a free charging system test. Voltage must be between 13.6 and 14.4 volts.

Then you replace either the battery or alternator as their equip. will tell you.

JUst a little update: The battery was fine and the D2 has been starting up as it should. Voltage was correct. I think their is a lose connection somewhere in the truck. No clue where though.
Follow the Positive lead from the battery to the starter. . .
