Stereo lights - Land Rovers Only

I have a 2000 D II the back lights on the stereo do not work. Strange part about it is they will come on once in a blue moon. I've tried every thing I can think off. The fuse looks good and the actual wiring works because the stereo works great and the light come on every once in a while, any suggestions on what to do?

You most likely have a cracked circuit board in the radio that is breaking the flow of current to the lights.

Bummer, wanted an easy fix. Guess I'll deal with it for at least a while longer
