Still new still learning (Airbag suspension)

Although I can appreciate a good thread let me say this. I don’t want to be one of those (I don’t know S***) customers. That’s why I’m trying to educate myself. Big Black airbags sit inside the spring coil. By the way correct me if I’m wrong. There are switches on the dash next to the downhill decent, fuel door +++ that will operate the Air suspension. My disco does not have these buttons, nor do I see big black air bags inside the coil. It’s my (novice) assumption that I don’t have air suspension?? All that being said I don’t think I’ll need to worry about the lift. Now I might tell another tale I heard on the net. A gentleman took his Disco HSE to get new tires. His air suspension was “on” and they raised it. When his new tires were on and lowered to his horror it (his Disco) sank all the way to the ground. Upon further inspection the shop noticed rips in his airbags. Don’t know how much truth there is to this, but there’s one thing I do know: I’m not going to find the answer on snopes.com. That’s why I’m here. You guys are a huge help. Cheers from GSO, NC.
