How many miles on your truck?
Have you greased all the drive shaft and slip joint fittings?
Check your front drive shaft, look at the double cardon and see if there are grease fittings on the u-joints, if not change it out cause it is probably failing.
This is real common on D2's and can be really expensive when they break cause they can crack the tranny case in the process.

Have you checked on the double cardon? This is not something you can just wiggle, if there are no grease fittings replace them ASAP. I removed mine at 36,000 miles and 2 of the u-joint caps were full of ground up bearings.

I learned all this the hardway, unfortunately. Ended up getting another front shaft (long story).

The time my front u joint at the t-case end grenaded, my dumbass didn't do the right thing and just pull over and pull the shaft to save myself some work. The endcaps were gone, and the ends of the shaft were dug out like someone took a router and dug into the yoke.

The only way to check is to crawl under neith the truck and look at the large double cardon housing on the drive shaft where it connects to the t/case. Just have to look and verify if there are zerks, grease fittings, on the 2 u-joints that are on the inside of that housing, which can be seen without tearing anything apart.
You won't have to replace the shaft, just have someone replace both the u-joints with new ones that have grease fittings. While doing this, also install a grease fitting on both drive shaft slip joints, this will help on the drive train klunks.

ok i took it to get looked at 2 different places. 1st one said that everything looked new under there. told me to take it to this place in atlanta. 2nd place(where i take my subaru) told me it could be a drive shaft or something in the diff. I something to both places about the double carbon joint and they said that it all looked fine. This is really starting to make me mad. Should i just order the parts and put them in or should i get more info on what could be wrong?

If you want help, listen to what we suggest, I didn't say go to a Subaru shop, what the hell do they know about Rovers.
The one suggestion was good, assuming that you crawl under the truck and do a visual on the grease fittings, take it to a drive line shop and get the double cardon replaced.
Take 5 minutes ang go get familiar with your truck.

That big round black thing is your e-brake. I shouldn't be leaking anything and if it is it could only be gear oil coming out from the back of the t/case seal and going thru the brake drum. Need to get that repaired.

I can't tell you for sure, but what ever it is, you need to crawl under there and see what is loosening up. Could be a dry slip joint, bushings on the front or rear arms, a spring shifting, I don't know for sure.
Can you better describe what the noise sounds like?
