Thanks for the input! I'm still looking, checked out all of the discos in the norther part of the state (va), checking out the rest tomorrow...did find a nice '03 with 30,000 miles on it....and a rusted through cat. converter....

Update: I bit the bullet and bought an '04 Disco SE (w/ CDL). Thanks to all for the advice. A pic is below, without the rack and brush guard (still have to buy the guard..old '01 brush guard apparently doesn't fit).

Very good choice! Best Disco ever built........Now if you live in northern Nevada all you need are:
2 to 3 inch lift
265/75-16 BFGs
tank skid
front skid
sliders
trimmed front bumper
replace rear bumper
trim rear fenders

That's all

Very nice choice indeed!!!!!! Those 18s are nice onroad......but you will find a wider choice of tyres in 16 inch rims.
