Default Suggestions please!! Coolant Issue

Hey all!

I've got an issue going on with my Disco II - and I fear that it's actually common and expensive

Anyone else have an issue coolant dissapearing? I'm not sure where it's all going because I seem to be adding much more than what is in the "puddle" underneath the truck. So, it can't be evaporating, so is it getting burned off somewhere? I've done some research and it sounds like it could be the water jacket or a cracked block... Oddly enough it doesn't burn hardly any oil, and there isn't a milky like mixture in the coolant res. - it's just bone dry!

Any ideas? It's got 70K on it and this would be the first "major" mechanical issue I've experienced...I guess I got lucky!

Thanks
Chris

Bone Dry??? That's a LOT of coolant to be loosing, and very dangerous. Take it to a shop (any shop really) and get your coolant system pressure tested. That's where I would start.
How often are you having to fill it up....how much each time?

Just go have the coolant system pressure tested, you'll find the problem real fast.
Don't waste time reading replys, longer you put this ove the more expensive it can and will be.
