Default TC/ABS only with 3 tone

The subject line says it all. ABS/TC only and the tone beep. I turned it off and the lights went out. I checked and my rear pads are on their last leg. Questions is generally speaking do warn pads throw the lights. I'm sure the answer is yes but I needed to double check.

Low pads will not trigger the lights as the DII does not have brake pad sensors. However squeaking brakes caused by low pads can disrupt the reading of the wheel sensor and trigger the lights.

If your pads need replacing then replace them. Unfortunately you wont know what fault has been triggered without proper diagnostic readings.

from experience these are thrown due to dirty speed sensors.....take a power washer to the wheel wells every time you wash your truck and it should be ok.

Do you mean the part of the sensor inside the hubs get dirty or the plug connections at the wheel wells?

The pads were loud that day. It seems the more warn they get the louder it gets, would make sense. Thanks for the input guys.

Oh NO I think you are right on. I just wanted to clarify what you meant. That maintenance is easy to do and highly recommended. Especially since they no longer make those sensors with the plugs. New ones have to be straight wired into the SLABS ECU.

yeah I recall that change awhile back. I think that both of my front speed sensors are the new style (I replaced them when I changed out the modulator) and the rear ones are the old style which have been good thus far.

Well what you need to do is get the codes read. Are they on now? Are they intermittent?
