Default TC Light

What is the impact of this light if it is lit and watch or how to repair it on a budget?

Not good, have you checked the fluid level yet? It usually indicates the tc system is working and you can hear it work. But if it is lit all the time....there maybe a problem.

I guess it has a side fill and drain? Is this the tranny or the transfer?

Neither, you can check the fluid level from the engine compartment. It shares the same container as the power steering fluid, on the right hand side, fender well as you are looking at the engine. Check the fluid there first.

I have heard that dirty fluid can lead to an intermitent ACE indicator.

Steady light could mean bad/dirty? upper or lower accelerometer sensor.

Getting the fault code read will be the true tell of the problem.

Do you have a code reader I use my friends we use it in our bmws minis and the landrover but its a general code reader. I dont have the double power steering tank. I just have the single. I dont have the ace, I believe that is what the second resovoir is for. Have you flushed this before? looks painful

Hold up - I thought you said your ACE indicator was on? You don't have ace?..that light typically means your ace is on or working.

Is your light on?

Do the ABS, HDC and Brake lights come on and go away when you start the truck?

Your t/c light indicates your traction control in engaging, if it stays on you have over heated the brakes from too much use.
When was your brake fluid last changed, how many miles on your truck and what other lights are on?

What lights are on and are they on permanently? I'm confused.

Ace light could be dirty fluid or accelerometer sensor (upper or lower)

tc and abs light (no hdc) intermittent in my experience has been due to a dirty sensor and alleviated by using a power wash hose on each of the rear wheel wells every time the vehicle is washed.

The three amigos could be multiple things

the brake light means low brake fluid

Nasa25,
My rig has 159000 and some change I will look into Mikes your suggestions on these repairs. I know the best is to just do a complete vehicle fluid flush to establish a start point and then from there. I dont know how to change the power steering fluid.
I have these lights the trans temp light is on because of a pacrat that ate the wire.
brake, ABS (front right sensor had tested), service engine soon, TC light, HDC amber, light.

so basically you have the three amigos (abs, tc, hdc), SES, and the red brake light? The hdc, tc, and abs are all related to the right front speed sensor that you need to replace. The brake light is most likely due to low brake fluid level as Mike has stated.
The SES could be anything, you need to get the codes read.

I don't see where power steering comes into play here at all.
