Default Throttle Body Kit

My DII seem to have developed the dreaded under the throttle body coolant leak.
Does anyone know what the throttle body kit comprises?
Is this strictly a dealership item?
Please let me know so I can source one.
In the meantime does anyone know the bypass procedure?

Mike, I know you have done this in the past...are you out there?
Thanks for for any response....

actually for the twenty bucks or so for the price you get the new gasket, bolts, and new throttle body piece, I have seen peope use sealant and cause such a problem its not funny.

if you have the time and the patience you can pull it down from the bottom. otherwise take off the throttle body housing and turn it over.

Its not a hard job the bolts on the Throttle body are all 8mm. I recommend replacing the throttle body to intake gasket as well. Thats about four bucks. Also at the same time you can completely clean the throttle body of any carbon with a can of carbon clean. All in all the repair shouldnt cost more then thirty bucks tops even with new clamps for the hoses. Its an easy repair and also it takes care of your TB freezing up on you in the winter when you dont bother to clean the TB of carbon.

The bolts on the TB kit itself are actually 5.5m. So you might have to get a new one to take care of it.

When mine started leaking for the second time, i tried to order a kit, no body had them and it was a superseeded part number having been up graded from the originial.
So yes, I did by pass mine by simply shaping a small piece of copper tubbing into a us shape and hooking both hoses to the tube. Been great for the last six months.
Now, having moved to Colorado, it will be interesting to see how my t/B works without heta, may need to rehook the hoses and reseal.

Hey Rovin4life,
I am very much appreciative of that quick detailed response. I will be getting a kit today. When we meet the drink of your choice will be on me .......
Cheers

MIKE,
Thanks for your response as well. I hope to make mine a more permannent fix. I dont really need a heater here, however I am keeping the specs intact ...you know how the beasts are, and I dont to give this one an excuse to do anything too weired. Thanks bud.
Cheers

The kit works well. I think the part number is MGM000010K $15 or so bucks. Check for coolant on your drivers side valve cover.
