Default Ticking Noise! Help!!!

So I got a really good deal on an 04 disco because it had a ticking noise in the engine. I tried fixing it myself and did the following:

Replaced Rocking assembly
Replaced Lifters/Tappets
Replaced Rods
Replaced Spark Plugs

When I removed one of the valve covers I noticed a small lose round piece of metal, but I have no idea what it belonged to.

The ticking noise is still there! It seems to be coming from the passenger side.

I've also got the 5 following OBD2 Errors:
P0308: Cylinder 8 Misfire Detected
P1319: Misfire with Low/Empty FuelDrive cycle c: signal out of maximum range - above maximum
P0130: 02 Circuit (Bank 1, Sensor 1)
P0171: System Too Lean (Bank 1)
P1171: System Too lean, Bank A & Bank B

Help?!?!

Thanks!

How many miles on the engine, I would start with an engine flush, 6 quarts of ATF, then do a oil pressure test, cold at idle and at 2000 RPM's then warm at idle and at 2000 RPM's and get back to us with the numbers.
Are you running a paper or K&N air filter and what weight oil?

Also, it's ticking at the rate of approximatley 5 knocks a second and this increases with RPM. There also seems to be a diesel sound coming from the cylinder 8 area.

So a few updates.. Haven't pressure checked yet...

The tapping noise is definitely coming from the 8th cylinder area
I think the engine might be loosing coolant
The engine intermittenly will produce steam from the 8th cylinder area - Coolant?
There is liquid dripping out of the exhaust - coolant?

Get it pressure tested but it sounds like its time for a headgasket job as that's where coolant usually leaks from. Combustion produces water so that could be coming out your exhaust so smell it. Keep an eye on your coolant level in the mean time.

Drop your oil pan and look for a slipped cylinder sleeve. I have a 04 Disco II along with many others that are being told they need new motors$$$$. Some motors have defective cylinder sleeves and Land Rover has dodged this defect under warranty. If this is the case for your motor please call NHSTA @888-327-4236 and report this defect. Your motor could fail while trying to cross an intersection with on coming traffic.
