Default Timing Chain

Just for curiosity purposes -- does the D2 need timing chain service? If so, how often should it be replaced? Or is it like the SL500 where it never has to be touched? No signs or problems w/the Rover, just wondering...

No the timing chain doesn't need to be serviced. I would think that once you have cleared 150,000 plus miles that if you were going to be doing other work on the engine you might want to replace it as a precautionary step.
