Default traction control engagement question

Whenever my tires spin my traction control light immediately comes on and it makes a low clicking sound coming from the dash until my tires stop spinning. When im stuck it also makes that noise. I thought it was supposed to beep when it was working, but I dont know. When your stuck i thought it was supposed to lock the tires that were spinning and convert the power to the other tires. Mine wasnt, 2 tires were just spinning. If anyone can help me on this let me know.

There is no beeper, the light flashes when the ETC engages, sending power to one, sometimes two wheels. If you have CDL and it is engages you will get power to the r/rear and the left front and the ETC will transfer power from the left to the right wheel on the same axle.
