Question Traction Controll

Just replaced both front wheel assembly units bearings were bad on my 2001Disco 2. Replaced both with used hubs. Now when turning to the left the traction controll light comes on and can hear a noise and feel a vibration. Anyone have a idea what it could be?

Is the locking nut properly torqued on the side making noise etc..?

Have you re-inspected your work?

Maybe you got a bad one...

Did you use your old speed sensors or the ones that came with the used hubs? One of the used ones could be bad.

I think she's got it. The only thing that will turn the TC light on and the abs pump is one of the wheel speed sensors telling the computer it is going faster than the other. If one of your speed sensors is trash - this will happen. It may be worth looking to see if any of the wires are chaffed or cut. Any other lights on the dash?

"Naw, it's not leaking...it's marking its territory!"
"Quick, take a picture, there's no lights on the dash!"

The light, noise, and vibration are normal operation for the TC. If you're not on a slippery surface, then something is "saying" that a wheel is spinning faster than the rest and triggering the TC unnecessarily. Everything points to a speed sensor...
