Default Transfer case noise.

I am writing for a second out side opinion.I have a 2004 Disco SE. It has 14,300 on the OD. My question is when I drive on the high way speed 25 to 45 MPH. If I quickly take my foot of the gas and then apply my foot to the gas petal quickly again. I hear a slight "metallic thud sound" coming from the area where the transfer case is located. (below the front passenger foot rest area). I asked my local dealer about this. They told me it was a normal sound and it was the transfer case breaking in. I personally think they do not want to deal with it if there is some thing wrong. I also asked an out side dealer. They said the noise was because of the slck in the long drive line. And the sound was normal. I also asked some of my fellow aircraft mechanics. They said to look at the U joints or low fluid in the transfer case. So far every thing is fine. Does any one else have the same sound?

Every 4x4 with full time 4wheel drive has it, this is the nature of the beast, just quit jabing the gas pedal and enjoy the truck.
