I've searched here and Discoweb for everything transmission related, but nothing seems to be correlating to my problem. I have a slight "ticking/clacking" coming from my transmission. It shifts just fine and drives great. I have it on start up and it will happen when idling. If I shift to Neutral, it goes away. I know it's not my drive-shafts since they aren't turning at startup, and I had my top end rebuilt a while ago, so It shouldn't be lifters etc. (the sound is coming from underneath). I've also replaced the tranny filter and gasket and did a complete flush with new fluid. So right now I'm just tryin to figure out what this could be. Thanks for any help.

Just to mention, not good to flush a high mileage tranny, can clean things out too well causing problems.
As for you problem, how about a cracked flex plate? Mike |
