Default Upgrading stock speakers with Harman Kardon package?

Has anyone tried upgrading their stock speakers with the Harman Kardon set? Is it just a speaker and other component swap as well, or is there new wiring involved/etc..

The HK speakers are nice (for stock stuff) and they will fill the OE speaker space. The wires/connectors should be the same as well.

haha actually the cassette deck has come in really handy because I play songs from my iphone via a cheap xm radio cassette adapter I have. The setup is working very well for me.

Cassettes, (these are almost antiques by now) I listen to motivational tapes from the 90's (major Tony Robbins fan) and it drives my friends crazy when they see the tapes..(voice at 750 watts,, UGH) ..I'm a PC,,, no ipod...

Sidetrack Q - Do you lose any sound quality using an adapter?

Good to know - thanks... wasn't sure if everything could be swapped out separately or if everything was specialized to the harness for HK and nonHK. Saw some amps and different head units - are all of these swappable from an HK car to a non HK series II Disco?

Yep, pretty easy upgrade and while your at it throw another $150 - $200 on a average but decent aftermarket head unit. The stock unit is such a POS for a vehical in this price category. It was the first thing I did when I got my DII home.
