Default vibration at 20-30mph

Alright, on tuesday I ordered new u-joints, centering kit, and a rotoflex from Bill at GBR. I did this based on all the info I've read on the board and I know mine is overdue, so I thought I would be proactive before mine breaks. I have a 99 D2 with 116K. Yesterday on the way home I began to notice a small vibration in my seat when I was accelerating from the 20-30mph range, it would go away when I let off the gas.

Since the roads in AK are covered in ice and snow it was hard to tell at first if it was the roads or the rover, but after about two days of trying to diagnose it, I believe its the rover and not the roads.

I don't notice any chirping though, and from other posts most of the other vibes are at higher speeds and have some chirping.

The parts should be here tomorrow or beginning of next week. Do you guys think it's the u-joints? If so, should I go ahead and disconnect the front d-shaft and lock the CDL while I wait on parts, just to be safe. I'm just baffeled that I bought parts to fix a problem from happening and before I get them in, the problem seems to be there.

Chris, Better to be safe and drop the front shaft, it has to come out anyway and you might land up saving a big bunch of change.
Makes sure you install the grease fittings to both drive lines slip joints, they are probably ready for a good greasing.

does anyone know what size the zerks fittings are? Also will it be alright to drive it for a few days with the cdl locked, while I get the front driveshaft rebuilt?

You will get a couple of zerks from Bill when you get your package. Yes you can drive with the CDL engaged for as long as you need to.
