Transmission fluid overheat warning.... if it's on from cold the problem is the temp sender(quite commoin) or it's wiring, if it comes on after a longer drive it's bad news
If it is like my 99DII, the manual says this light signifies that your front case is overheated; manual says that you can just pull over and let it cool off and then drive on. It says to check the fluid level as soon as possible.
My wife ignored the light and I had to buy a new front transfer case from Will Tillery. He is a good guy and I believe it was about $400 for the case.
Went back and looked at my old 2008 thread called "99 Disco II differential seal busted." This has some information that might help you. I ended up paying $1400 total for a new installed transfer case; still driving it today.
