Default warranty question

I have a 00 DII on warranty and I think I might have a fractured manifold.
When started cold I get a hissing/ticking sound on passenger side near the manifold I can not see where it is coming from. After the vehicle warms up it goes away. Is this what it most likley is ? If it is the manifold or gasket, does anyone know if the warranty will cover this ? Also the driver side door clicks twice when I open and close it and the last time I had it seviced the service manager said it was a broken door catch. He said he would try to get it approved for repair and later said it was denied. Is this something that the warranty should cover or is he giving me a hard time ?

Any input would be much appriciated.
Thanks Jamie....

50k bumper to bumper
Both of these should be covered, provided you haven't subjected your Rover to any apparent "misuse". Not sure what kind of misuse would void warranty on these issues. I've noticed an inconsistency in the way warranties are handled from dealership to dealership. For example, one dealership told me a few yrs ago that a K&N air filter voided the mass air warranty. Just one example. I think you need to be polite but firm w/ the svc manager. Do your homework & find a good indie Rover shop so when your warranty expires you'll be ready.

SCSL is correct. Warranty is like Insurance. Who ever has to pay up, will always look for a way out.
