I just discovered that the carpet in front of the front passenger seat is wet. Where is the source? It is not the sunroofs.
About 10 days ago, I took my land rover through an automated car wash. There has been no rain since. There is too much wetness to attribute to the sunroof leakage. Plus, there is no other wetness; only where the passenger places her feet.
Make sure you don't have a rotten A-pillar under the windshield seal. That will allow water to get into all the trucks electronics that are located under the right kick panel
I literally *just* had this problem on my 2004 Disco. Like the other guy said, it's most likely the air conditioner drain line is clogged. All you need to do is crawl under the truck, get under the passenger side footwell, look up past the drive shaft and you'll see a little rubber cone/nipple thing high up. The drain drips directly onto the drive shaft, so start there and look up. Use your finger and massage the drain to clear debris and dirt/mud. Once the water has all drained out, you'll need to wipe off your arm (and possibly face), and then dry out your carpet. That should be it!
Thanks everyone! Finally getting a chance to get back to this problem. I did eliminate the Pillar A as a source. Will crawl under the car to check drain next. It should be it but I did not know where to look. Last time I was under the car, I kept wondering while there seemed to be oil leak in the areas you mentioned. I now suspect it is water.
Just pull the sides off of the console. The rubber tubes are right there. They are full of gooey bacteria-laden slime. If you do it from underneath, all you will do is get them partially open and they'll "grow" shut pretty quickly. And, you'll get a face-full of A/C spooge.
I'm pretty sure it will be ahead of the console /under the dash. About where your lower shin would be driving.
Under dash panels? Pull carpet back and down?
The drains where clogged with sludge, as bad as the traffic clogs on Garden State Parkway North (New Jersey) on a Sunday summer evening with everyone coming back from the beach!!
I rigged up a connection, and snaked and aspirated out the sludge from the AC nipples. Then I aspirated the tubes from the same connection. Next blew the tubes out with compressed air!
I just wanted to forget about what came out! I still need to get back to the dome lights. Stay tuned.
