Default Water leak - not A/C drains

OK, driving through the rain today (no carpets) water collects in a pool at the front lower door seal edge. The door seal is OK (water tested), the bulkhead is not leaking (water tested). Now, when i run water from the back of the car towards the front with the hose - down the roof gutter - water seems to appear at the joint of the 2 seams that make up the A pillar. It looks like there a drain at the front of the roof gutter above the A pillar. Could this be blocked - allowing the water to run down the inside of the pillar. if so, how to I remove the black A pillar panel to look beneath ? thanks.

Thanks Army - should have said - SD7 so no sunroofs. Drain is right at the front of the rain channel / gutter and the windshield. want to pull off the black A pillar panel between the windshield and front door. Gary

you need to seal up the roof gutters with sealant and around the front of the seal for the windshield.

then blow out the sunroof drains.

ahh no sunroofs that makes this alittle more interesting. If the disco roof is like the Range Rover roof it is a seperate panel that can be unbolted and removed. Going on this theory it's possible that water intrusion is occuring at the seam between the roof panel and the body.

Rovin4 has come to the same conclusion that I'm moving towards, but it definately looks like there is supposed to be a drain hole at the front of the gutter - it just seems that if there is a drain tube it's blocked causing the water to run down the inside of the A pillar and collect in the box section as it has no where to drain.

OK, sealed up the "hole" and the gutter - put a new seal on and guess what - still leaking. It looks like water is entering the car between the door and the seal at the top rear of the front door (pouring in actually) Looking at the other doors, the drivers door has "dropped" at the back. I've read about adjusting the striker plate - but shouldn't I adjust the door angle at the hinges? is this possible? thanks.

go ahead and adjust the small bolts on the door frame. they adjust more then the striker. the frames are what cause the leaks. the strikers just cause windnoise.

if adjusting the frame doesnt work it might be a bad seal itself.
