Since I’ve owned my 00 disco I have always had the enjoyment of smelling antifreeze, but every since I went off road I smell this weird smell. I can’t tell if its mud cooking on the exhaust pipes or manifold. I can’t really explain the smell. Anyone experienced this?

You're kidding right... Do you know how many tiny spots that get hot there are under the hood? It looks like you blasted throught he goop pretty forcefully from the photo. You're smelling rotting organic matter simmering. Think bacterial soup poop, insect poop, rodent poop, racoon poop, wolf poop, deer poop, Moose poop, elephang poop (subject to availability).
Get the toothbrush out a get every bit of muddy poop out! There's no need to blast through mud like that, It just gets everywhere and feeds the LR gremlins that cause all the trouble.

Use spray on mud in a nice potpourri scent... mmmmm vanilla with a hint of cocoa! Or live with the smell! Remember when you smell poop there are little tiny particles of poop landing in your nose to set off the smell receptors! hahahaha! I am just joking with you, I'm not a mud expert as we don't see much here! Although all this snow will make something mucky this spring.

I like mudding with dragster slicks it sharpens your driving skills and impresses the ladies.
I think I’ll ask for a mud flavored slush the next time I’m at Sonic. |
