Default Wet floor in Disco

I have a 2002 Disco. My wife noticed recently that the floor was soaking wet in the front and rear seating areas. I called my dealer who suggested it was heater core, air conditioning tubes plugged or door seals. I was out of town so had the wife bring it in. They replaced most of the door weatherstripping for $1000!! This seemed pretty strange to me for any vehicle with only 70,000 km. Anyways, 3 days later with no rain at all, the floor is soaked again. I gave it the taste test (no glycol) and I 'm pretty sure the air conditioning tubes are not plugged. Doesn't leave much does it? Any suggestions before I go screaming back to the dealer?

Thanks,

Darrel

Have you (or the dealership) checked the air conditioner drain tubes? Mine get clogged up every 6 months (generally mud) .. does the water look like its coming from the transmission tunnel area? They do dump a decent amount of water out if they are clogged.. especially if you do a hard turn.

Darrel.
Before you do anything, stand in front of a mirror and read yourself the riot act, how dumb could you be to say yes to there suggestion with out checking the obvious?????????? Water with no taste, no coolant leaking, probably no rain and you buy door seal, should have red any of the last couple hundred posts from people with the same problem.
Now, go clean out your a/c drains.

Unfortunately, I was out of town Mike, but point taken. I'll assume some of the blame but am still more thasn a little pissed at the dealership who should have known better.

Thanks

OK,
Now it is time to go after the dealer. Go see the service manager and tell him your story, let him know you are aware that they missed on this repair and based on your assumption of their expertise you authorized work that did not correct the problem and you want them to reverse that work order, giving you some or all of your money back.
Were your real door seals torn or did they show signs of leaking?

The seals were not torn Mike. The tailgate leaked when my wife would go through a touchless wash. They adjusted the gate, but it still leaked so they said they would have to replace the seal. I suspect this got them on a door seal kick rather than checking for plugged A/C tubes for the wet floor in the front problem. I could only find one by the way, and it was well plugged. Regardless, I'll be less than jovial when I stop in to see my dealer.

I hear you.
If you found one nipple, check the same area on the other side of the tranny, you should see the other, it may require a flash light.
Good luck,
Mike
