Default What is the gas button on the left??

On my new(for me) 2004 Disco SE7, I did not get a manual. On the left, there is a gas button that doesn't seem to do anything. Is it supposed to?

Uhm? Do you mean a pedal on the floor or a button on the dashboard? If you have 3 pedals on the floor then I think something is wrong.. the button on the dash could be to open the gas tank door. Take a pic!

yes...it opens the fuel tank door. the car must be in park and turned off in order for it to operate though.

Thanks, it does do something!!!! I have never pushed it when I was stopped. I have always, the last 2 weeks, just pulled open the gas door.
Thanks ibjeetin. It's amaising how lost I feel without a manual!!

The guy that sold it should have explained some of the basics to you.
No amount of manual reading can beat a good rundown on the car.
