Default What's the best way to change the plug wires on 03 disco?

I understand the the intake gasket has to be replaced as well. Thanks for any help.

I did mine without taking the IM off, really wasn't that bad and hands got a little beat up, but they are in and doing fine.

Yes, it can be done without removing the intake. I don't have small hands and I was able to do it, just had to suffer a few bloody knuckles.
It may look impossible (I thought it was), but it can be done. Took me an hour and a half without removing intake.

It took me a little longer than that, too many "refreshment" breaks lol.

It can be done, a friend of mine did his today, saved him about $600 in labor from a shop.I am assuming you have secondary air, which is the harder of the 2 to changes. If you are interested, e-mail me your tele number and I'll get you the directions to do it your self.
Do you have a new set of 8 mm Magnecor wires to install?

I just bought the 8 mm Magnecors today and replaced the old champ plugs last weekend with a set of NGK Iridium IX, there is already a huge improvment. Thanks. 1 more thing I have already bought the IM gasket should I take it back or go for it?

Try it first without pulling the intake. Not a big deal if you have to take it off but try it without pulling it first. Just close your eyes and imagine using your hands in the dark....

Let me know if you need directions cause if you have secondary air, it is more complicated.

Default Plug wires

Well I never thought I had huge hands.

I just did mine with the intake OFF as I needed to do valve cover gaskets anyway.
I can't even imagine doing this with the upper intake still on.

I'm not new to working on rigs, been pulling engines and transmissions and rebuilding them on my hobby rigs for 25 years.
But I found myself cursing the LR Engineers while snapping those wires on the coils!

But it's running great.

BTW the Magnecors could have used at least another inch in length to the back plugs.

Default Changing plugs

Hello, is there a Haynes manual or anyplace where you can go to get a step-by-step of removing the IM and then changing the plugs and wires?

Thanks,

Vinson

Why pull the manifold? How mechanical are you?
This can be done without removing the intakes as long as your v/c gaskets, intake manifold gaskets are not leaking.
How many miles on your truck?
