I am looking at pics of dII and dI and I am just kinda wondering what the differences are! besides the door handles, I dont see to many cosmetic differences(remember, I am a newbie to l/r's)!

I actually tried to google to find a list, but found this site that was actually pretty good: http://www.cs.unc.edu/~zhangh/LR/comparison.html
other than that, there is 6" more of cargo space.. rear lights are bigger/higher..

If your looking to buy here something to concider.....i am told by many owners who have driven the D1 and D2's that the D2 is much nicer to drive [i can't verify as i only have a D2] but that being said i think if my goal was offroading mostly i would go D1 [shorter and simpler].....just a thought but i can't back it up...
If you have just aquired a D2, welcome!!! Later, Dean |

Hi Rivers edge
You may find this website interesting, they virtually rebuilt the discovery when they went over to the second series. http://www.discoverytd5.co.uk/series_ii.htm Phil |

SCSL,
The best answer yet. I might also add that the 99 D2 was the first year to have the Bosh engine management system which I believe to be a big plus. Mike |
