Default Wheel adapter question

Ive been searching for new wheels and cant find any to fit the lug pattern on my Seires II. Skulte Performance Design makes wheel adapters for Discovery Series I and II so that you can convert the 5 X 6 1/2 wheel spacing to a more common pattern. Has anyone heard of these adapters or is anyone using them?

There are a number of companies that make theses adapters, I am nor real big on them because of isuues of srenght and offset, but yes they work. What you need to be looking at is what will be the final offset of the spacer with your new non Rover wheels, don't go to far out of specs.

Im asuming that whatever the thickness of the spacer is needs to be added to the backspacing of the wheel so the wheel dont stick out any further from the fender. Correct?

The Disco II has a very common bolt pattern, no need for an adapter. Most places that have wheels don't know anything about Rovers, but if you shop by bolt pattern and know what offset and hub size- you'll be able to find wheels. There's a whole thread on meanieweb about using camaro wheels, etc.

I'm with Mike on this one...i have seen spacers that have failed...not to say these will but....besides if your looking at spacers that means your looking for wheels as well....why not just buy a set with the proper spacing and offset....i bet by the time you buy the spacers and some wheels you could have ordered a set of custom offset wheels for the same price......

Ive looked at 5 X 120 wheels and all I can find are bling bling chrome wheels. I want a set of black street lock wheels (bead lock look alike wheels). I cant find them in Disco size. Only in Jeep, Ford F150, Chevy, etc bolt patterns.

They are out there, I have seen a few sets of real bead locks on Defenders, need to get on the web and start searching them out.
