Default Wheel Hubs

Hi, ok I know nothing about trucks, but have owned a '99 dicovery series II for several years now. I moved to Cancun, and it is harder to get quality service here for my truck. I finally found a person that can handle it, but he has told me that I need to replace front and rear wheel hubs...among other things. Does this sound right? There is a noise when I turn right and the "three amigo" lights have recently come on. He has told me that the noise is the sway bar link? I don't have a clue as to what any of this is...but if this all sounds right I will happily buy all the replacement parts, but if this DOES NOT sound right I would greatly appreciate any input.
Thanks! Andrea

He is wrong. Does he have a scanner that can read the ABS codes?
How many miles on the truck?
What exactly does the noise sound like?

I don't know about the scanner. I will ask. The truck has 110,600 miles on it. The noise is hard to describe it is like a wah-wah-wah when i turn right. I reminds me of how it sounds when the tires are worn out and you pick up speed. I did have to have the U joint replaced because of a very loud sound one time. And he said I need another U joint too. But this sounds different. Again I don't know much about it. Thanks again. Andrea

are the tires chopped, does the noise change pitch when you are different types of asphault?

sway bar links only make noise on bumps, and if you think you have a bad ujoint, go underneath the truck and shake the front driveshaft. if it moves up and down, either the front one is bad or the rears are bad.

if the lights are on, you need someone else to clear the code. even after replacing the hub you will still have to have it cleared.

hears an idea, put the truck up on a jack and grab a hold of the tire and rock it back and forth. if it loose from a wheel bearing it will rock up and down and all around. if its a tie rod end it will be side to side.
