ok, I know you've heard about about this before! my abs,tc and hill descent lights have come on and stayed on. I was able to get the codes from a place and was informed that i need a new wheel speed sensor. Any info on this topic? What is a wheel speed sensor and how hard is it to replace? Any help is greatly appreciated! thanx

Here is a place to get a good price, Land Range Rover Sport LR3 LR2 Discovery Defender Freelander Genuine OEM Accessories Parts
How mechanical are you? You will have to pay to clear the code once you replace the sensor. Mike |

thanks DM! I replaced the O2 sensors myself and the Mass air flow sensor and that wasnt very hard to do. Since I last posted I have been asking around and have been told by a mechanic that he would charge $300 parts and labor. He said I would have to take apart the break assembly and it was not an easy job. This same mechanic charged me $100 to read the codes and tell me what was wrong! He also told me if i did it myself it would cost $50 to clear the code. I am gonna check the sight out you recomended for price and get back to you. Thankx!

the same my abs,tc and hill descent lights have come on and stayed on too ; the dealer told me you need a new wheel sensor but was not convinced so I checked with a multimeter the sensor , Ohms, volts, frequency I compared the parameters with the oposite wheel sensor and I got the same data from both sensors spining the wheels to the same speed, my problem was the squealing in my brakes so after clear the codes I fixed the problem with an anti squealing grease.

what did you use to reset the codes? I was told by a break place that it was a landrover specific code and would need to be taken to a LR dealership. I heard the code readers you can buy at napa and such places werent very good. I am wondering if it wouldnt be worth it to get something to be able to do it myself.
