Where to go for jump seats... - Land Rovers Only

Hi all! New to the board! I am in my second Discovery, I've had her for 2 years now. Can jumpseats be added aftermarket? I have a series II 2002. Where is the best place to go for it? Thanks.

I have 2 original jump seats from an '01 DII that will fit. Excellent condition. Tan leather, all hardware. PM me if you are interested in buying them.

Just a little heads up............... my first Disco a 2000 had jump seats and they rattled, a lot, dealer tried to quite them several times
next disco 2003 no jumpseats...hmmmmmmm.......no noise loved it
think about it before u do it, or if you do add them just never fold them up.....lol

ISHILL funny that you should mention the rattle. I heard it for the first time about two weeks ago on a drive to the beach. and well I've heard it on the last drive as well. It doesn't do it all the time just after hitting a big bump in the road. It wasn't hard to figure out where it came from though

You cannot feasibly/economincally add jump seats to a Disco II that did not come OEM without them, due to the fact that the mounting brackets in the floor require extra bracing underneath the body of the vehicle. You dont have the seatbelt hardware & the drop down headrests require a different headliner, etc. It would cost a fortune to do this and make it "right"

my 2000 disco came with the floor brackets, now the seatbelt thing might be a problem, but the brackets i think they all come with. But, i enjoy the extra storage of the jump seat compartments to be honest on trips lol.

Thanks all! I do have a SD, I looked in the back for floor brackets and the carpet is continual, but- it feels like they may be under there- will have to call the ole dealer in the am. As it stands I have no room to carry anyones kids but my own, allthough, not a problem all together,

. Just looking for a solution for carrying folks along to hit the sand and sun.

I was only looking to do the right side, but decided the storage was better and figured you wouldn't want to split the set. (not trying to call dibs

Augh- he was right

I called the dealio and they said basically the same thing- apparently the models thru 99 you could do it no problemo bc they were designed as occasional seats, the new ones are forward facing etc and designed to be used all the time from a safety perspective. Talk about rainning on my parade...

If a car is already an SE (as opposed to SD), is it easier? I'm curious about adding jumpseats to a 2000 SE.

Doesn't matter what trim level. DII's have a different floor in the back when equipped with the jump seats.
