Default Whining whriling noise

Whining whriling noise during moring start up after it warms up it go's away.

The best way to explane the sound is a like a power steering noise when either low on fuild or under load.

I checked the PS fluid checks good the trans shifts fine but when driving sometime from a start I get the same noise.

I been wouldering if some how conected to the vibartion in the drivetrain 75 MPH and above New rebuilt Front driveshaft new rear full converted U-Joint rear drive shaft helped out but still 75 + these's still a vibration.

It has 104500 on the clock has not been off roaded it had a easy life 2003 Disco.

Purchased my rear Shaft from Toodco Supensions Inc. the front shaft I rebuilt my self I had no noise after rebuilding the noise started after I installed the rear shaft.

The Stock rear shaft had some noisre but not like I starting to get now.

I think affter ai get my other car back on the road I take both shafts down and have them rebalenced.

Does the noise occur when driving or while stopped? Might want to remove the front shaft and rear shaft and have them inspected, neither shaft should make any noise. I would contact Toddco and make them aware of the issues before you do anything since they are under warranty.

I had a similar noise right before my Oil pump went. I hear it's rare to hear a noise from it though. Changed my oil pump and noise was gone. Originally I thought it was power steering related. If you hear or feel a general change/roughness and clattering to the engine, shut it off asap (that's what happened when my oil pump went out).

Just curious, when you rebuilt the front shaft, did you replace the centering ball also?
