Default Will 18' silblade flexblades cover enough space on a DII?

I'm gonna do the wiper conversion from DII to DI arms and I ordered the silblade flexblades for the DI arms. It's 2-3 inches shorter than the stock DII blades so I'm not sure if they will cover enough space. Any comments? Thanks.

that's exactly where I got them from. In their conversion package they include the 18's. That's why I figured they would be ok.

You know you can just got to Auto Zone, Advance, or any other part store and buy just replacement blades. Not the whole assembly, just the blade itself.

I know but I have heard that silblade are among the best wiper blades you can get. If they are too short then that's what I will have to do.

Like Street Wolf suggested...just changing the blade in the LR wiper housing takes all of 5 minutes, and solves the D2 wiper issue.

Even though the replacement blades comes with generic support rods that go along both sides of the blade...take out the generic rods and re-use the support rods from the original LR blade with the new blade. The generic rods seems to squirt out and you have to push them back into place periodically...the original LR rods will keep/lock the new blade into place as intended.

I just installed a set of Armoural 21a wipers for the tune of $25cdn each and seem to work a treat. Whats the wiper issue your all talking about? I'd say my rear wiper is rubbish but the front never seems to cause any issues.

What does everyone advise for a rear wiper blade?

I have a 2002 Disco II and my rear blade is almost in tatters, and do I really have to take the spare tire off to change the blade?

You don't have to take off the tire. Just pull the blade back and pop the plastic connector out of it's housing.

Besides the expensive Land Rover replacement, what is a good replacement?

I have D1 wiper's on my D2... w/ siliblades and absolutely love them... they cover enough space for me and clean it rather well.

Sorry I don't me to hijack this thread, I have a 99 disco II so what length of wiper blade should I be using for both my front wipers? Also what would be a suitable brand of wiper to get, I’m willing to pay more money for better quality wipers.

Thanks for the advice in advance

Does that include the rear wiper? I have silblades on the front of my DII but haven't been able to find one for the rear wiper.
