I think when you drive the front wiper blades work and when you back up the rear ones go automatically - or am I confusing this with my 1983 Delorean LOL
That's why I want/need a new wiper blade, cheaper than replacing scratched glass

Thanks for the advice in advance
21' blades are stock but I am converting to a DI arm and will be using 18' silblades.

You can also get the silblades made for the dII arm that are the stock 21', but they are not the flexblade so they have the wiper blade assembly that I want to avoid because it tends to cause ice build up when driving in snow.

Yep... when my front wipers are on, if I go into reverse the rear wiper is activated.

It doesn't make sense to me why silblade would make the front wipers but not the rear

probably because there isnt as big of a concern about rear wipers. My rear wiper is shite as well, but in a storm my biggest concern is having a clear windshield and wipers that do not become encased in blocks of ice. While I agree that silblade should produce the rear wiper as well, maybe they have done some research and found the demand for quality rear wipers isnt as high? who knows.

Have a look at the silblade site. They do make rear blades for the DI, but I'm not sure if they will fit on the dII...I assume not.

We've never had a problem with ice here, but we can get an inch of rain in 10 minutes. You're right though, it's a supply and demand issue.

Hmmmm... I wonder if I could convert the rear wiper to DI? Has anyone done that?

I have DI arms and I have been using 20" blades with no problem.

I have the DI rear arm as well but have not installed it because I have not gotten the parts to hook up the rear washer. I understand the parts from the rear wiper of a 99-06 S-10 Jimmy will work?
