Bought some new wipers at walmart, broken off the factory driver side wiper trying to take it off
In looking at the oem wiper compared to walmart special it doesn''t look like its gonna work out, whats everyone else using for wiper replacements and where to get them? |

For a D 2, you can use only Dealer wipers or Sill Blades which are sold by Expedition Exchange. I have a set of Sill blades on and they have done well for the last 3 years, either way, they are expensive.

Go to an auto parts store. Auto Zone or Advance auto or the like. Go to the book on a string or the computer thingy and look up Land Rover, 2000, Discovery. Low and behold! You'll find wipers that fit your truck!

on my 04 DII i bought blade refills from auto zone, bent the clips back that held the factory blades on the original wiper, pulled old blade inserts out put new ones in then bent clips back to normal. Wipers work just as good as the $50 pair i bought from LR last time except these only cost me $5

Not sure if you guys agree, but the DII wipers suck!
crappy spring tension...At their best, they are the worst wipers I have had on any car! Period! I bought new Disco I arms. They work great! Refill the arms with blades that are 2" larger than the Disco I calls for. ![]()

I've used those 'cut to fit' blade refills....they worked fine for a while...and they were only $4 or so....but I got tired of the wipers missing stuff because they had really weak springs or whatever....i bought a set of D1 arms and bolted them up, now I can get wiper refills at many fine auto retailers

You may want to check Atlantic British or Rovers North. I forget which one exactly (thinking Rovers North), but for sure one does have a couple of options for you. They offer the silliblades and also have a kit with siliblades that includes new "standard" wiper arms that you can get to accept any normal wiperblade you may pick up from any autoparts store.

I highly recommend the Sill blades. That and a "heated seats special" upgrade from Atlantic British were the first two things I did to my Disco... They still perform like they did the day I installed them which was in 2006, around July.
