I have no tips, just curious as to why you are replacing it so soon?

Price is great, just suprised that something had failed.
Have you verified what took out the cat? That needs to be done prior to installing the new one, if you don't find the cause, you can loose the new cat pretty quickly.

well, i banged the hell out of the cat off road a while back and i am assuming that the bad o2 sensor aided in the cat going bad. does that sound right? is there anything else that could cause the cat to fail?

Now I see why you are replacing it. The O2 sensor won't kill a cat, the only thing it will do is run the engine lean.
Have fun with your project.
