Default 05 lr3 rear cig plug

Ok so I was down at the dealer the other day. And I saw that the newer lr3s have a rear cig outlet in them. Mine has the cover but no outlet is the wire there to plug it in if I get one. I am talking about in the cargo space on the left by the way. It would be nice to have back there.

Not sure about the wiring. Keep me posted if you decide to have it installed. I'm curious as to whether or not they will install it as "always hot". the outlet in my 06 only works when the key is turned. i understand its a safety feature that won't allow the battery to be drained should you forget to unplug something, but it's a bit of a hassle when you are trying to work back there. I use an inverter, compressor, and other little devices when I'm camping and its a little annoying to have to turn the key each time...

That is how I would like to have it installed. It is a pain to keep going up there and turn the key and even worse my plug is up front. I also run a small cooler back there and don't like the wire going under the seat to the back of the console. So I will defintly post it up when I get it figured out.

Mine only works with the key on I would ask them to wire it up the oter way. I would think they would. If not do it yourself of have an indy do it. Most indy shops I have delt with will do what you want the way you want it with in reason obveously. They tend to have more common sense on things at times.

If you're going to be running accessories/cool box for extended periods you may want to consider going with a dual battery setup.

I was thinking of running a duel battery setup. Are they as easy as on my D1.
I would do it my self as far as wiring it up. I went back today we couldn't find it in the computer at the dealer. But I only had about 15 min to spend. The parts guy is supposed to be looking for me. I want the factory one from the newer truck. Since It would have the flip open cover.
