Default 06-07 LR3 Service Intervals

I'm looking at getting an 06 or 07 LR3 (one preferably with 80k km or less) and I'm just wondering what kind of a mileage interval would be acceptable to carry out preventative maintenance such as, for example, changing the drive belt and all of the fluids?

I'm hoping to also stagger the services to spread the cost out over a longer period of time.

Anyone have any recommendations as to what I should be doing and at what intervals?

The owner's manual will have a maintenance schedule inside.

It is never a bad idea to swap out all the fluids on a new/used vehicle as then you know where everything is, what oil belongs in what component and how long it has been in there.

Drive belts are generally only changed when they show excessive cracking, unless you want to fit a new one and save the good, used belt for an emergency spare.

A basic rule of thumb for engine oil is change it every 3 months or 5000km, whatever comes first. Use a good quality oil. While you are under the vehicle give everything a good coat of looking at to avoid nasty surprises and keep an eye on the brakes.

Hope this helps.

What i have been recomending to my customer is at 100k to replace all fluid ,and then following the manufacture recomended service interval so this way you , you can prevent unnecessary problem in the future, replace drive belts at 84k as rec, also pay attention to right front carpet for any water or moisture as this area is where most of the electrical problem start.Make sure that you use quality fluids do not cheap out and use the cheap stuff.

Thanks for the replies. Do you recommend replacing all the fluids at one time or staggering the fluid changes over a few thousand kms?
