Default battery booster

Hi,guys. Maybe I have better luck on this forum, so here it goes:

Can somebody point me in the right direction, please, i need to purchase a good quality battery booster with charging mode up to 14.7 V, but also most importantly with a SUPPLY MODE 13.5V.
I recently bought a Foultmate MSV 2 from BBS and while performing a 15 min. diagnostics with keys in position 2 my battery went flat,so for a future work on Faults and codes , I would like to prevent that from happening again.Products, that BBS recommends, are sold mostly in Europe and Australia.I wonder if I can get similar tool here.Lr3 needs a serious booster, it takes 25 AMPS when keys are turn in position 2.Any suggestions?
I just need a booster that when connected to my battery , will allow me for longer diagnostics without worrying about battery run dead.I wonder what LR dealers use for that purpose, obviously CPU reflashes and other stuff last sometime a lot longer than an hour.

Default Maybe these guys have a suitable charger/power source?

I suppose by now you have got a suitable charger, but for what it is worth, I have what Vector calls a Smart Charger, Model 1095A for 12VDC systems.

It claims to be digital, (guess that is good), and has a 2/10/25 AMP charge rate plus a Start boost feature rated at 75 amps.

I like to think that because of the "smarts", the Vector will not damage the LR3 electrical system, (has not yet), and you can manually adjust to various battery types - Gel, AGM, Lead Acid/Calcium etc - which is really adjustment of the max charge voltage. Gels/AGM charge voltages are set lower than for "Wet" batteries; closer to 14 volts rather for Wet which charge at near 15 volts.

Also I have a Scan Gauge II running off the OBD plug and it normally displays a voltage of from 13.9 to 14.3VDC during normal running; (~14.9 when recharging just after start up), hence setting the charger on the Gel charge rate, (~14.1), will provide a voltage, closer to your desired 13.7VDC.

Re reference to the voltage my LR3 seems to run at, I have a second battery installed and it is the same style as the main battery; that is "wet". I had two reasons for keeping the second battery the same as the primary.

a) I did not want to have two different desired charging voltages, and more importantly, b) the use of the aux battery. For me, the second battery is regarded as an on board spare for engine starting purposes. A shallow cycle wet battery is all things considered, probably the least worst choice for engine starting; hence the reason LR and pretty well every other manufacturer, installs "wet" as the primary.

As such, I think the Vector would operate OK as a "25 amp power supply" and regardless, I do not think 14 to 15 volts would hurt the Faultmate either. (Collin would know that so you could email him at BlackBox re that question.)

I have attached the Vector web site url below and you may wish to contact Vector and ask if the above or one of their larger units will work for you.

Black and Decker does their distribution as I got mine at the local DeWalt factory repair depot; also I think some of their chargers are carried in the big box outlets as well. At the bottom of the home page, the website gives a 1-800 number for I think B&D, and also an email address that appears to be the Vector guys.
