Buying a LR3 - Land Rovers Only

Hi All,

I am considering buying a second hand MY05 LR3 SE TDV6. I have been doing some research on the web and found that there are quite a few problems with this model (suspension, electronics etc.). Would anyone recommend buying one? Unfortunately my bugget would not allow me to purchase a more recent model. Any advise is appreciated.

Hi pak, I bought an 05 SE about 4 months ago and it is awesome, I love it like no other vehicle I've owned. I'm assuming the horror stories you've read are from early on, since I read the same. They have fixes in place for these issues - just be sure that all the service bulletins have been performed before you purchase. It's probably under warranty anyways no?

dont put gas into your diesel. or else your screwed.

the injection pump runs the whole injection and once it siezes from gasoline in the lines it kills the motor.
