Comparison between Discovery 2 and 3 - Land Rovers Only

The New Discovery comes out in Australia early 2005 and I was wondering what all you Land Rover experts think of the two.

I am considering upgrading to a 4wd, I drive a Ford Territory which is a RWD not 4WD.

I wonder if I got a Discovery 2 I would get a great deal on the sell outs, or is better to wait for the Discovery 3 with the Jaguar V8 motor and much higher price a better choice? Looking at what I have read up on the Discovery 3 its a top vehicle with all the new technology, but if I got the Discovery 2 would I be disapointed?

In a word, Yes, but you have to weigh up the pros & cons. Can you afford to wait for a new look truck with new technology, and pay a premium. If you purchase the current model, will you get envious every time an '05' drives by?
