I'm looking at purchasing a 2006 LR3 HSE. I went to look at it, and after starting up the engine and coming up to drive height, the compressor did not stop pumping. Is this normal? Should it not shut off after it gets to normal driving height? or will it shut off after I actually start driving and it fully levels off? Thanks in advance!

my dad has an 03. the compressor kicks on and off as needed normally. is it a private seller or a dealer? if its a dealership sale its a great bargaining chip to knock the price down...make the car look like a piece of shit, get the price low and then "i'll take it" lol

Did it never turn off? I"m new to LR myself, but most air systems like this have a reservoir tank that they fill. So if the reserve air was completely gone then it might have run longer to fill it up.
But if you took a test drive and it was still running at the end, then I'd say there is probably a problem. |
