The OEM tires should have been discontinued years ago. One wonders what sort of deal Ford/BMW/LR made with Goodyear. Anybody have news on the class action lawsuit?
I've heard (and seen) that the Cooper Zeon's do quite well on an LR3. I personally went with the Nitto Terra Grappler's (285/60/18) but to each his own if they work for you...terrain and use (and price?) probably play a role as well.

Can you tell me how you like the Nitto Terra's for on road ride and road noise?
Thanks,
I like the ride alot better with the Nitto's even though I went with a larger size (285/60/18)...In the cabin I can't tell a difference with road noise (no humming). The vehicle seems more stable in my opinion. I've put about 10k on them - so far so good.
The only thing i've noticed is a drop in fuel economy which was to be expected with the size (-2.5mpg).

Don't know if anyone is still debating the recommendation of Cooper's Zeon in 185/60R18... but here are the ones i just picked up at America's Tire... ordered em' yesterday at 11am and picked em' up today at 11am...

Sorry to open an old thread but I'm a new owner and am getting conflicting advice.
I'm currently using the tires that came with my '06 LR3, Toyo Proxies (255/60/R18). The vehicle is mainly city driving but in the near future I'd like to be taking some trips off road (nothing too hard core). Furthermore, we do tend to get snow where I am and where I live it isn't always plowed right away (sometimes over the weekend).
Reading through the forum, the Cooper Zeon tires seem to be used alot and on the Cooper web site the LTZ seems to have an alright snow rating.
I asked our nearest Cooper retailer here and he said they didn't have anything small enough for my vehicle. My questions are:
-Can i run these tires on my LR3
-For those who have these tires on their LR3 already, are you noticing any rubbing? Or other problems?
-Any suggestions for other tires?
-Are the Toyo tires currently on my vehicle the average size or are they smaller than the stock goodyears. They look a bit small...
Thanks in advance!

Similar questions here: curious on the snow performance of these Zeons. Also, any issues in access mode with the larger diameter? I have low overhead clearance in my garage and can only pull the LR3 in when in access mode.

I can't personally speak to deep snow, but I have taken several trips to Big Bear in the snow and I know Spiker has done a few trips in deep snow without issues. The Zeons are fine in access mode, just don't do a lot of driving like that. For going into the garage, or in a commercial parking garage, they have been fine on my LR3. Just remember that if you are having issues with your present tires, you will have a greater issue with a larger tire, as the Coopers are 31.5" in diameter, which raised the truck nearly an inch off the ground.
Just wanted to update...... I drove those Interco SS M-16's REAL hard and no issues at all, they are awesome tires... I dont fly around corners in the rain or anything and in heavy rain they had no problem staying in a straight line, even at 75 mph, and in the mudd and on rocky trails they were simply amazing and they held up great too. I had them aired down to about 14 psi at Uwharrie and was on their most challenging trail and at all the hard parts I was able to rip into them and no tire blow outs at all!! It was amazing, and they took a tremendous beating, I also hit a mud pit one time(cause I'm not big into mud) and all I know is that my Range had never been so muddy in my life, and Iwasn't bombing a deep puddle, it was a legit hole and I couldn't see out of my passenger side window and windshield after then I cleaned it immediately cause mudd destroys paint...... never had the tire in snow but it was awesome in every other circumstance and in my mind is the perfect tire for a land rove rbecause it is insanely aggressive yet tamed for the road!
