I think they do as well as any all-terrain tire. You can probably find a dedicated snow tire that gives a little better grip; but the Cooper will handle rocks, mud, sand....and concrete as well; and that is nice. They are a good tire choice for the LR3.
If you're gonna stick with one set, I'd get the Coops. Goodyear Silent Armors may be another good option. I had the Coops but since I was running two sets decided to get more aggressive when the 32" MT/Rs came out.
I put on a set of coopers the end of this winter and they did better than I thought I get 150-200" of snow. Northern Michigan. You can not run chains on that size.
