Default A couple of questions about couple of things

I have to take my LR3 to the shop and I am scared as hell about it. I hear all these stories about LRNA brushing people off that have valid complaints. I have 2 issues that worry me at this poit.

I have an exhaust leak on the drivers side. Should be a quick fix, but I cannot find the studs or any conventional way to access them to see if they are loose. I was looking all over while I had the plate off to change the oil, and saw nothing.

My rear wiper also likes to stick at the middle of the back window, its so weak that it cannot even make all the way accross once. I put it down when I see it which is all the time, and somhow or another I and up hitting the switch off the steering wheel and its back to the middle.

Has anyone else had these problems? I plan to take it in when I get time, but I thought I would get some input before I do.

rear wiper seizes up and a little lube cures th problem untill you can get a new one from the dealer.

exhaust leak no idea. unless the engine has been off cant say much. need to listen to it. we have had issues with the fan clutch getting really loud caused by a bad alternator or a programming.

Thanks, I will try some lube in there, been busy so I haven't been able to get to LR. About the exhaust thing, its kinda ticking and gurgling...thats the best I can describe it LOLz. I am a pretty competent mechanic, so I have a good idea of what that would sound like and all. This is similar, but it has a distinct possibility that it might be some kind of lifter tick or something. I am going to tighten the bolts I can get to tomorrow as its getting a little louder so maybe I will get lucky and find that the leak is the exhaust gasket after the exhaust mani. Easy fix. I'm really hoping its not a lifter or something. I would think a gas engine that has an 8 qt. capacity would be devoid from those kinds of problems. I changed the oil before any oil change warning came up. She got new Mobil 1 and some Lucas oil. That quieted down my Mitsubishi lifter tick problem. The oil holes are small, and it is typical for them to tick while at idle. Its on and off, and is especially bad in the Denver winters as you might imagine. Even on the coldest nights and mornings there would be not a tick. Lucas oil is awesome. So I'm pretty sure this is exhaust related. I will find out tomorrow....

Oh yeah I forgot, I do not think the engine was removed, but I have only had mine since 27,000 so I dunno. Kinda scary. I will update tomorrow. Are you in Co?
