getting new keys

Hello, we got the LR3 couple of years ago and shipped it to Mongolia but my father lost one of the keys and asking me to get a new keys from the dealership. What kind of documents or numbers would I need in order to get the keys?? how is the process? I dont have much of the purchase documents and so on.. the car is in mongolia, so what should I do? i would really appreciate the help.

You have a title? Otherwise, return it to it's rightful owner

actually he will have to travel to a land rover dealer to get the key programmed. we can make one for him but they will program it no matter what.

why the hell did you send an advanced vehicle to mongolia with no way of fixing anything. thats just plain nuts. trust me you screwed up royally sending the vehicle there.

thats the authorized sales dealer, not sure if they can do anything for you like repair the vehicle. but they may know someone who can.

oh.. i went to the dealarship we bought the car from and they said if I have the VIN number and the title.. then they can get me the keys for some 200 dollars... we bought the car in 2005 when there werent any land rovers in mongolia...so we bought it here.. i think its easier to get the keys here rather than from the dealership in mongolia.. yeah thanks anyway

the key will not start the vehicle without being programmed. have the mongolian dealer handle it to facilitate the correct cut of the key and programming.
