I'm looking for some ah.ssis.tan.ce (best Farva from Super Troopers impersonation).
![]() I'm looking to switch from the dreaded 19x8" to more reasonable 18x8 or 8.5" wheel with my 06 LR3 HSE, but have one issue: For an after market wheel how far from offset can you go from OEM (+53mm) ? I've tried the dealer service dept. and some wheel shops, no help so far. So I turn to the experts here.

19s arent the problem. Its the wheel alignment issues. also the bad inner tie rods and balljoints that go on these trucks.
and the good year just plain suck. On alot of trucks we put h rated tires not the V rated that last 25 if your lucky.

I've actually order LR 18", 5 split spoke wheels. I'm going to get them powder coated (black) as well. They were an OEM choice for 06.
Did find out that the Redbourne wheels (built for LR) have an offset of 32 and are an inch wider) and another reported no problems with them. I have heard positives about the Synchrones but looking long term (2 tire changes) the overall costs favor the 18 rims and tires, and I get the bigger and better tire choices. Now, i have to sell the 19"s.
