How to remove the roof bars - Land Rovers Only

I have the lockable Land Rover roof bars on my 06 LR3

Just picked it up last week (used) and I do not have any documentation on how to remove the bars.
I have inserted the keys and turned the lock which opens a little hatch and the bars can slide but I do not know how to remove, them and I do not want to force it.

there are slots that are wider where they slide into and out of.

plus you need a 2 mm hex key that should have come with the kit. that way it adjusts it and lets off the slack so it slides easier.

plus a soft pound mallet works ok too.

but loosen up those little screws.
