When you turn the light switch all the way to the right, it puts it in auto on mode. Unfortunately, in that mode, the fog lights will not go on. Turn the switch left one click, which puts the headlights on. Then, pull on the switch slightly. It will pull out from the dash slightly. ONe click turns on the front fog lights, two clicks will turn on both front and rear fog lights. The rears just add a couple of lights to be seen. The main headlights will remain on in all cases.

Our LR3's bumper lights would not turn on even w/ the proper detent engaged. I pulled the lights out of the bumper. Chafing on the driver's side had exposed the wires in both + and - wires, causing them to short out and pop a fuse (#38, 15a, behind glovebox). In fact, the ground wire on the passenger side was exposed too. I taped them all up, replaced the fuse, and voila! Lights again. Our LR3 has the factory installed winch, brush bar, and aux lamps, so not sure if this installation caused the chafing.
